Staying in a Marrakech riads in Morocco is the best way to experience the city and its medina and Plaza Jamaa Lafna, while enjoying maximum comfort.

There are many riads in Marrakesh, Morroco to choose from for your Morocco holiday stay.

A riad is an old traditional accommodation of Moroccans. They tend to be big houses that are mostly situated in the medina, and the rooms cluster around a pretty patio with a fountain, decorated with tiles. Riads (or ryads) are similar to a bed and breakfast type accommodation. The ground floor of a riyad usually has a Moroccan lounge room where the guests are received. The rooms tend to have large windows made of hard straw or wood.

Many riads have been bought by restaurants in the 1990Žs by Europeans after being abandoned for years. Several have been restored, and even some have been made into a luxury accommodation.
