Changing money for your trip to Marrakech :
Don't forget the Dirham can't be either imported or exported - you can only buy and sell it within Morocco, so get rid of all your change before you leave!
It's important to remember that the Dirham can't be imported or exported. You must change all your money into a different currencu before leaving Morocco. It's not advisable to exchange it on the street; in fact, it's illegal. You'd be better off going to one of the local exchange points, that are authorized by the state. You can also change your remaining Dirhams here back into the original currency before you leave. If you are using traveller's cheques, remember that most of the banks will recieve about one euro commision per cheque.
Credit cards:
All the main international credit cards are accepted. Visa cards work in all the major cites in Morocco. Credit cards generally accepted in big hotels, stores and restaurants, and sometimes even in the zocos. |
